There is not much to like about the NY Mets these days, the future is uncertain and you don't know if you're favorite players will be sticking around, but if there is anything to like about the Mets it's their announcer's, the best in the game. You can call me bias but these guys call it the right way, Keith Hernandez, Ron Darling, and Gary Cohen will keep you in the game regardless of the situation, even if you're team is in last place. This trio brings knowledge into the game in abundance, and each individual infuses their own touch of personality & style into the game that is truly their own. While Keith Hernandez gives you that hitters insight with that Charles Barkley kind of blunt honesty, Ron Darling comes at you with the pitchers point of view and is considered to be one of the best color commentator in the game, leading the crew and calling the play by play is Gary Cohen, a die hard Met lifer with an accurate delivery that keeps the game flowing and make Mets baseball a joy to listen too.
If there is one thing good about the Mets it is the way these 3 go about their business, it is a constant flow of originality and spontaneity that is always on point, Yankees fans wish they had it this good when it comes to their announcers who constantly sound as if their following a script.
Listen to them and you will learn a thing or 2, and not only about baseball, just last week Gary Cohen asked Ron Darling a question that a fan had asked through email, the fan wanted to know if any of them would participate in Twitter, Darling replied by saying that his life is too boring and that there was no need for twittering, Hernandez chimed in and said that twitter would get me in trouble so count me out, Cohen punctuate things by simply saying, that many have had.
