It was a feel good win for my NY Mets vs our crosstown rivals from the BX, 1st we lost our heart and soul, all star (MVP) shortstop and now we were 1 out away from getting swept at home too the hated NY Yankees, but something happened and it was not to be as the Mets would come back too beat the Bombers to keep their gritty season going forward with the win too uplift the fragile fan base.
For the past few seasons it has been the same old song for the Mets, their main problem has been keeping their top players out on the field, and this season it has been no different, but so far this season the NY Mets have been able to stay in the game and play some competitive ball, and yesterday they showed the hottest team in baseball what they can do.
The big bad Yankees were 1 out away with their legendary closer ready to close the door, for the NY Mets it came down too their last strike as the Yankees looked poised to win their 8th in a row.. ready to brag, but in the end it was the depleted Mets who came back with some fight to snag the victory and keep baseball in Queens hopeful for at least another day, andof all to delivered the big hit it was the total bust Jason Bay who capped the much needed uplifting victory. Their has been struggles, injuries, under performing players, along with some financial woes, and with all the negativity the the young Mets showed that they are still playing hard and still hanging in.
