Mets go a perfect 7-0 to take 1st place

Right to the point the Mets are hot, by winning all 7 games this week the Mets have now captured the lead in their division and now get ready for a series tonight against the Atlanta Braves at CitiField. It should be pumping tonight as Johan Santana will be going up against the ace of the Braves in Derek Lowe, as both Lowe and Santana will be seeking their 5th wins of the season.

How good were the Mets last week who took home 3 series vs. the Braves in Atlanta, then the Phillies and the Pirates at CitiField? let's just say it was all clicking for the Mets who were able to put it all together with some good starting pitching, a aggressive running game which now has the Mets on top of the NL, and some clutch hitting that was missing in action earlier in the season. Right now everything is all good in Met land as the Amazing's were able to put it all together for a perfect week as they won all 7 games.

During the streak we saw Johan Santana do his thing when he beat the defending champions the fighting Phillies in a game where he struckout 10 Phillies, as for the 2nd time this season Sanatana won the game 1-0. We saw K-ROD save 4 straight games, keeping the streak intact. We saw Jonathan Niese fill in for the erratic Oliver Perez give the Mets 6 inning with no walks. We saw the Mets power game finally on display at CitiField, it was all good.

After the 3 game series which starts tonight with the Braves, the Mets then will travel out to the west coast to start a 4 games series vs the San Francisco Giants.
Hopefully the Mets can continue with their positive play at CitiField as they get ready for their big west coast swing.
