Yanks grab share of 1st by bombarding Texas.

It was another bomb fest for the New York Yankees who took the rubber game against the 1st place 27-19 Texas Rangers, with the win the Yankees now have a share of 1st place in thier Division with the Boston Red Sox. Mark Texiera went deep in the 1st inning, his 15th of the season, and Hideki Matsui went yard to more times as the Yanks took care of business 9-2. AJ Burnett went 6 scoreless innings to move his record to 3-2 as the Yankees have now won 12 of 15 to stay red hot. Chien-Ming Wang threw 2 scoreless innings as he tries to make his way back into the rotation.
Melky Cabrerra did not play and will not be able for the next 6 days due to his sore shoulder. Still the Yankees had plenty of contributors on this day as fellow countrymen Robinson Cano went deep in the 9th for the Yankees 4th homerun of the game. It was the Yankees 77 homerun of the season tying them with the same Texas Rangers for most in all of baseball. The Yankees will have today off as they now get ready for a series vs the Cleveland Indians on Friday night.
