Best team in baseball staying on pace

The team with the best record in baseball The New York Yankees, are gearing up for a return to postseason glory, ultimately ending a 1 year drought. They continued to mock the competition with their dominating play and it didn't changed last night when they beated up on the Toronto Blue Jays for their 7th straight win to put them 40 games over 500. The talks have now surfaced about this team being as good as the 1998 team that won it all, and with a 86-48 record what your seeing is another 100 plus win season from Derek Jeter and the Yankees. As I said before it was more of the same from the Yanks as Jorge Posada led the way with 4 hits including a HR & 4 RBI's, A-ROD also added his 24th dinger of the season as the Yanks rolled to the 10-5 victory as Alfredo Aceves gets the win and now goes to 10-1 for the season, talk about a guy who always seems to be put in a winning situation all the time, he took over for starter Chad Gaudin who only lasted just over 3 innings as the Yanks gave him a 5-0 lead through 4 innings but was not able to stay in long enough for the win running out of steam in the 4th then pulled out for Aceves who came in to get the gift win. The Yankees did strike out an alarming 13 times in this one with guys like Jeter, Damon, Texiera, A-ROD and Cano all whiffing 2 times each, but it made no difference as the Yankees still were able to cruised for the easy victory.
Tonight the Yankees will resume their series with the Jays along with the Joba Chamberlain and his numbers of pitches allowed experiment as he tries to get ready for some real baseball in October.
With the best record in baseball the fully armed and ready New York Yankees no doubt are heading towards another divisional clincher, right now Yankee fans worldwide are high with the way their team are seemingly having their way as they finish out the rest of the season. They look in tip top form and are pretty much fully healthy when you look at that roster, teams like the RedSoxs and Angels surely have more problems when it comes to injured players, but the Yankees still have some minor issues that need to be reflected, and that is Joba Chamberlain, the boy does not look ready, and is this a minor issue?, one thing is for sure and that is that the only thing that would fully satisfy Yankee fans is if they get the whole Pie and not just pieces of Pie.

Jesus Freddy, could your reporting suck anymnore?

The Yanks have not been 40 games over .500 at any point in this season. They are currently at 39 games over (a season high). I mean you even put their record (at the time) up in your report (86-48).

I wouldn't call K'ing 13 times ALARMING vs. four different pitchers.

Mocking the competition? That's harsh. The Yanks don't treat their opponents with ridicule or contempt.

I won't touch the Joba thing too much. Yanks are ultimately doing right by him. I probably haven't agreed with them not making a decision on how they do it but now it looks like they have him on track. Anyone on ESPN or otherwise who you hear talking smack about the Joba innings limits is full of shit.

Don’t worry about the typo, by the end of the year the Yankees will be 50 games over 500.

Yes the Yankees are mocking the competition, with the way they easily win games that is, sometimes even pies are used to celebrate their achievements.

Pies are SOLELY reserved for home walk-offs.

So the Yanks should start winning by three runs or less?

Should the Patriots have eased up on the competition two yrs ago?

In the famous words of Mr. Wolf in Pulp Fiction: "Let's not start sucking each other's dicks just yet gentlemen" The Yankees have been playing great but let's see what happens next month.

Fred, have to disagree with you. The Yankees aren't mocking anyone.

dude I'm not saying they should do anything to alter their ways, I'm just saying they are mocking the competition, aren't they?

Haven't they beat up on all the teams even the good one, in a easy fashion?

freddie vargas said...

I'm not saying they are mocking the competition in a bad way like let's say showing off in distaste, I'm saying they are mocking it by the way they have been easily winning games.
Let's stay on course here.

What is the Yankees record since the allstar break?
they must be playing like 700 ball or something to the tone.

Ok, so you can say that they're toying with the competition but saying that they're mocking the competition you can see where we would have an issue with that.

Toying or Mocking, if you stay with the context of the subject it is the same thing, just a preference in wordplay on my part.

Hayes Daze said...

Word play? Have you looked up what mocking means? That's worse than taunting.

Maybe if you say the Yankees are crippling the opposition that could be construed ok.

Mocking would be like Tex hitting a HR and as he's rounding the bases giving a double middle finger to the pitcher. If that were to happen, Tex wouldn't make it to home before being tackled.

I'm just saying.

hahahahaha, mocking, toying, teasing, taunting....
what kind of blog is this actually?
:) u guys sure your talking baseball cause I'm starting to doubt you all hahaha

Yea I’m getting criticize for using the word mock when trying to describe the Yankees who have easily outplayed the competition for far to long now. This is reality, I’m not saying that it will continue once the playoffs start, but during the regular season it has turned into a mockery.

Let’s talk baseball!

Cocorosa you never said if you were a Mets or Yankees fan, so what gives?

Hayes Daze said...

Cocorosa is a cookaracha (I know that's spelled wrong) as far as I'm concerned. Just comes and goes as she pleases and does nothing but annoy. Freddy you are a making a mockery of reporting. It's biased and quite frankly you should change the name of your blog to read The Queens Scenery. Unfortunately for you, that would mean writing about the US Open because that is the only thing interesting happening in Queens at the moment.

I don't get paid to write a certain way that needs to be approved, this is a Blog I just write and you can critize me for my writing if you want, all I can do is try to explain, what is your problem?

RN said...

I think you should have gone with "making a mockery of the competition" Enough with this topic, lets get onto a more interesting topic.

cocorosa said...

I didnt see any problem with the word mockery or the way of writing as seen in its context, Its very clear Freddie is a Mets Fan and reports from his own angle as a Met fan'...

I'm not a die hard fan like you guys but I root for the under dog!!!!
