White Flag Day

It's official, the Mets have put up a good fight but any chance of them making the post season seems out the window, this years rag tag bunch have been a pleasure to watch but the NL East is too strong and were not catching the Braves, so wave the white flag & lets make some moves, time to get the team ready for the 2012 season. So with the trading deadline a week away I think the Mets have to sell big and shake things up.

In the next week Sandy Alderson must make those decisions, and everyone is expandable, everyone except Jose Reyes of course, and the 1st one to go will be Carlos Beltran, I always liked the guy but his days are numbered, all I can say is thank you Carlos for having a great season, hopefully you can bring us back some goods in return. Now Alderson has got to decide if he wants to use Beltran to get some pitching or a position player, or just go after the best deal, cause Carlos Beltran should bring us back 1 or 2 solid players in return, and my guess he is going to the Giants which should bring back some pitching. After that Sandy Alderson must continue to make more moves and hope he can land some quality pieces in the mix. It's time to get rid of the cruddy players, package them with a few good ones and make things happen, how about we try and package a deal of David Wright and Mike Pelphey and see what that gets us? Sandy Alderson must now get creative, the time is now to make those changes that will get us back towards the positive side.
