WS game 4

The NY Mets were 5 outs away from evening up the World Series and now it's going to take a miracle. Once again it was a heartbreaking, demoralizing, punch to the gut.

To many mistakes, too many goats in this one. It was the 8th inning and everything seemed to be going as plan then it started to fall apart. Tyler Clippard got the 1st out but then walked the next 2 batters-the 2nd walk after Clippard had Lorenzo Cain down 0-2. After that the stomach began too turn and you knew no good was going to come out of this messy situation. Terry Collins had waited too long and in came Juerys Familia to try and save the day against the always calm looking Eric Hosmer, Familia got Hosmer to hit into what looked like an easy 2nd out but that's when Daniel Murphy pulled a Bill Buckner and it became a nightmare, in came the tying run from 2nd and now the Royals had the go ahead run just 90 feet away. The damage had been done and the floodgates were now opened because Familia could not get it together and pull it out, 2 more hits would follow the 1st by Mike Moustakas and another by Salvador Perez as the Royals had taken control and a 5-3 lead.

It was over.

In the bottom 9th the Mets gave themselves a chance with 2 on and 1 out with Lucas Duda at the plate, the Mets had some hope and all I was thinking was walkoff but Wade Davis buckled down and thoughts of a miracle were not going to happen on this night, Davis jammed Duda for a soft flair to 3rd and Yoenis Cespedes caught a brain cramp and got doubled off and the game was over. Another mistake another lost and the Kansas City Royals had come back again to steal another game on the Mets to take a 3-1 lead in the 2015 World Series.

The Royals have proven that they are clearly the better all around team in this WS and when given chances like the Mets have had, the outcome is going to be scary. The NL champs have fallen short unable to close out game while the Royals just don't know how to lose.

As much as I want to stay optimistic I can't, (You Gotta Believe) but you just can't let games get away and expect to come back and win the World Series after that.
