It was a week in which the Yankees scored a total of 36 runs but at the same time they did give up 33 of their own. The good thing is that the Yankee bats were able to score some runs this week which was a big problem just a week ago.
It was a winning week but the Yankees still have a ways to go as they are still in last place 7 games back of 1st. Boston and Baltimore ran off impressive weeks so in essence the Yankees gained no ground and on top of that the rotation was not all that impressive.

As for the NY Mets it was the opposite as they went 2-5 on the road while losing the last 4 games,
bad calls by the umpires in the last 2 games didn't help matters but a lost is a lost and like Terry Collins said lets move on. Now the Mets come back home for the big series vs the Nationals. They are now 21-16 in 3rd place behind the Phillie's but only a game and a half back of the 1st place Nationals.
This is going to be the series to watch, Daniel Murphy comes back to NY with his 400 batting average looking to give it to the Mets. Noah Syndergaard will go up against Max Scherzer to opened up the series and it don't get much better than that. The Nationals who lost 6 straight to the Mets in 2015 will look to return the favor. Citi Field should be rocking tomorrow night and I will be glued to the TV for sure.
The Yankees are now on the road to open up a series tonight vs the Arizona Diamondbacks and then finished off the week with 4 more in Oakland. Chad Green will be making his debut as he takes the ball in place of C.C. Sabathia and Brad Pinder gets the start in the 2nd game of the series. As you can see the rotation is not as strong to opened things up, hopefully the bats will continue to score some runs so we will see if the Yankees will continue to build or take a step back.
That's all I got for now so catch you on the rebound.

I'm happy with the 7-3 home stand and that they won each series vs. the Red Sox, Royals and White Sox. Again, not looking at getting to first place...yet. I just want them to get to .500 and go from there.
Mets should be happy to get back home after that disastrous west coast trip, I'm looking forward to seeing the series with the Nationals.
Yea getting to 500 is the goal, if the Yankees can get there then they have done their part, I'm just not sure that this team, even with the 3 headed monsters, will get there.
The Mets obviously took a hit but the good thing is that they barely lost any ground. 1st place is just a game and a half away and here come the 1st place Nationals.
Not a good showing for the Mets vs the Nationals. Losing 2 of 3 at home and Harvey getting blown out and boo'd off the field. Do you think that they'll skip Harvey's next start? Do you think that they should?
No not a good showing at all. Harvey needs to get his shit together, hopefully he will make his next start and turn things around.
Of course he should work his way out of it and make his next start, so far he is on schedule to make his next start.
