Tonight the NY Mets were supposed to take on Jose Fernandez the pitcher with the best career home record (17-0) in MLB history. But as we found out early on Sunday morning, Jose Fernandez lost his life to a tragedy that stunned everyone in the baseball world.

The irony of all this is that Jose Fernandez was supposed to pitch on Sunday vs. the Braves but the Marlins decided to skip him and save him vs. the Mets who he loved sticking it too.

Of all the young pitchers that have come up in the last several years Fernandez was the best.

W - L   ERA   Inn    K    WHIP
38  17  2.58    471  589    1.05

Tonight the Marlins get back to baseball after canceling their game on Sunday, it was supposed to be showdown between division rivals but tonights game will be filled with heavy hearts as the game becomes secondary and we pay respect to a young talent who we lost way too soon at the age of 24.

R.I.P Jose Fernandez

Nothing much to day, just tragic. Hate to see anyone that young die, especially someone like this who had so much in front of him. RIP Jose Fernandez.

Just read that Marcel Ozuna was invited to go on the boat ride but had declined.
