Yanks good while it lasted, Mets looking good.

After a week off I'm back at it again, and since my last post I said the Yanks have it tough going forward and since than things have fallen apart. They have lost 7 of their last 8 games and come off a 4 game sweep to their rivals. The Baby Bombers were good while it lasted but the dream of a possible playoff run is over.

The Boston Red Sox took it too the youngsters who just the previous week were able too sweep the Toronto Blue Jays too keep hopes alive but Hanley Ramirez and the Boston lineup was just too much as Joe Girardi had some questionable moves and Dellin Betances picked a bad time to go into a slump. It is what it is and with 2 weeks remaining in the season the Yanks will have to be content on playing spoilers the rest of the way.

The Yankees put up a good fight but Yankee fans can't forget that they are rebuilding, and considering that they had so many teams to jump over just within their own division, for them to had gotten a WC spot was going to be something short of a miracle. The NY Yankees have to start planning for 2017 and moving forward they have some nice pieces in the puzzle to consider for next year roster.

As for the NY Mets...I could not be happier, yes there was some more bad news with the lost of Jacob deGROM but I'm so use to it by now that I kind of become use to it, plus the Mets keep have kept winning despite it all and this week it was no different.

After losing a tough series to the Nationals the Mets went on to swept the Twinkies to grab the top spot in the NL WC race. At the moment they look like the best team to make it out of the 3 teams fighting it out. The are playing some good ball while the Giants and Cardinals seem to be going though tough times. Right now the Mets have great team chemistry and some guys have begun to pick things up of late.

Curtis Granderson has deliver after being inserted into the clean up spot and the new crop of starting pitchers have come up and maintained the Mets rotation. Yeonis Cespedes goes without question as the most important player that the Mets can't afford to lose but I also gotta give props to Asdrubal Cabrerra for his play all season especially of late and for being able to stay on the field despite a wonky knee.

Then there is Jose Reyes Reyes who has played like a difference maker, Reyes is constant energy and along with Yeonis Cespedes have given the Mets a style of play that is contagious. Hopefully these 2 can stay on the field going forward cause they are 2 difference makers that the Mets can't afford to lose.

Terry Collins has made some head scratching moves but one thing he is really good at is keeping this team loose and playing all for 1. With 2 more weeks to go, and a favorable schedule, the NY Mets have things pointing their way and as long as they can stay away from anymore injuries things are looking good.

Well, I've been saying it for a while that the Yankees wouldn't make it. Its not from lack of trying but the hole was too deep and they had too many teams to leapfrog in a short amount of time. I'm really excited about the future of this team. They have some good building blocks, a lot of young talent waiting in the wings in the minors that will make the team or be used as high end trade bait and a shitload of money coming off the books when arguably the best free agent class hits the market. Thats some perfect storm shit right there. So I'll gladly give away a wild card berth this season if it means another long run of championship baseball is in wings.

As for the Mets, like I said they should be the #1 Wild Card. No excuse not to. Tough loss tonight but hopefully the Dodgers will smack the giants around and help you guys out.

This offseason should be interesting for the Yanks with all the money coming off the books and young pieces but not sure if there will be anything really worth opening the books for, do you know of any key free agents hitting the market? I don't think there will be any good pitchers out there which is an area the Yankees need some help in. The 2017 Yanks should look a lot different then what we saw in the beginning of 2016.

Syndergaard didn't have it tonight so yea tough lost considering Mets had their ace on the mound, saw the Cards winning their game, and yea hope the Dodgers can beat the Giants tonight.

Not this offseason, this offseason free agent crop is going to be pretty weak. I can see the Yankees making a couple of moves but its in the next couple of years once ARod and CC come off is when the Yankees will go all out.

Huge win for the Dodgers...the giants have totally imploded. I love it. That Bumgarner guy has some serious roid rage issues.

Oh I thought you was talking about this offseason, that's why I was like who is out there? 2017 is going to be a year where the Yanks will have some growing pains, but by 2018, with the better free agents market, and a year older with the kids, Yankees fans can begin to expect the team to start contending.

I saw that little scuffle between Puig and Bumgarner, Puig is an asshole but in this situation the asshole was Bum, he started it all. Has Bumgardner been accuse of roids? Yea big win last night, obviously I was loving it.

I think the Yankees will be decent next year but right now I'm feeling optimistic about the future of the team.
No, I just say that about him, its just odd that guy looks like he's freaking crazy and will fly off the handle at the drop of a dime.
